A 16mm screening series devoted to the rare and fun experience of watching films ON FILM with an emphasis on experimental work, obscure and esoteric titles that can't be seen any other way, multimedia collaboration, renaissance knowledge regained through nature snd science movies, the thrill of weird imagery, and the marvelous communications of projected light through celluloid. Sweet16 was an attempt to develop a community of support for watching and sharing work in the film medium in the Hudson Valley Area. (series on hiatus)

SixShortfilms, 1973
by James Gore
Animation by the mysterious and influential animator. Working in an intuitive, Art Brut-influenced hand drawn method, James Gore made cartoons full of constant surprise and transformation. His film Dream of the Sphinx was shown frequently in the 70's in Cal Arts' nascent Experimental Animation program, and he had a great impact on the late Adam Beckett, collaborating with him on The Letter. This is the only other film of his known to exist and its discovery (on Ebay, of a school library copy) is an exciting event! This jewel of a film truly cannot be seen anywhere else!
